Americas players in Championship Week 13

It’s a slow week for Americas players in the Greene King IPA Championship. Only four starters across all teams along with a handful of reserves. Hopefully we’ll see more in the New Year!

The Cornish Canucks, er, Pirates lead the way with a trio of starters once again. Aaron Carpenter continues his role as captain against Rotherham but moves from the side of the scrum back to his preferred spot at no8. Brett Beukeboom is once again in the second row, and Matt Evans on the left wing. Kyle Gilmour is not in the Titans lineup for a second straight week.

Doncaster travel to the isle of Jersey this week and continue to give Jon Phelan the nod in the no5 shirt. Fellow Canadian international Tyler Hotson provides support from the bench. Both of Jersey’s Argentine imports are in the reserves this week, with Martín García Veiga covering hooker and Ignacio Sáenz Lancuba loosehead prop.

Justin Blanchet is back in the match day squad for Bedford against London Scottish, albeit on the bench. No sign of brother Sam or James Pritchard. Lastly Aaron Flagg will have to settle for an impact role for Moseley against London Welsh after starting in the back row a week ago.
