Muzzio re-signs for Stade Montois

Uncapped Argentine prop Carlos Muzzio has extended his contract with Stade Montois for a further three years. The 30-year-old loosehead specialist joined the Pro D2 club from Tarbes ahead of the 2014-15 season and has established himself as first choice in the no1 jersey over the past 18 months. He will now stay with the club until at least the end of the 2018-19 season.

A native of Corrientes, Muzzio left his home club of San Patricio and moved to France in 2007 where he joined Saint-Denis in Fédérale 3 as a loose forward. He switched to Vannes in Fédérale 1 for the 2010-11 season where he converted to the front row. Tarbes came calling after two seasons, and a breakthrough season in 2013-14 that included four tries scored earned him a contract at Mont-de-Marsan.
