Maple Leafs ready for second England match

François Ratier has made a string of changes to his Maple Leafs side for the second match against England Academy at Esher on Saturday afternoon. His development side dropped the first game 37-29 after leading for much of the match, and the side will be hoping to even up the two-game series before returning home.

Simone Savary and Chelsey Minter swap in at prop after coming off the bench last game, and converted centre Janai Haupapa makes her second row debut beside Tyson Beukeboom. The back row remains unchanged with Cindy Nelles again captain, but there is a new halfback combination with Lori Josephson at scrumhalf and Mackenzie Higgs her partner.

Amanda Williams swaps jerseys with Natasha Smith to start in the midfield in the only change to the three quarters. Second row Emma Taylor misses out again due to injury.

England Academy coach Scott Bemand has opted for six changes in all. Bianca Dawson replaces Justine Lucas at tighthead prop, and Alex Powell takes the place of Zoe Saynor in the second row. Poppy Leitch makes it two Poppies on the flank with Abbie Walker left out.

Natasha Jones replaces LaToya Mason at flyhalf, and Lucy Demaine comes into the midfield with Rachel Lund now on the bench. Kelly Smith is the new fullback in place of Sydney Gregson. Props Katie Trevarthen and Roz Jermine are joined by back row Joanna Brown and outside back Georgia Gray.

The match kicks off at 9am EST. There will not be a live stream available.
