Campeonato Argentino de Mayores Round 5

The final round of the Campeonato Argentino was played on Saturday, confirming the national under 21 provincial champion and the play-offs matches for promotion and relegation. Buenos Aires had already been confirmed as national provincial champions last weekend.

With a 21-20 win over Córdoba Tucumán celebrated as under 21 champions. Salta will have to win a play-off to remain in the top division , facing Santa Fé while the bottom placed San Juan from the Promotional Zone A will face Zone B winners Sur. Both matches will be played on Saturday December 05.

As a result of losing against Sur the Uruguay XV has finished second in Zone B and has missed out on the right to play for promotion. The Uruguayans completed a big win this weekend, defeating Southern Argentine province Chubut.
