Canadians, Eagles and Pumas in Pro 12 Week 8

In action in the Guinness Pro 12 on Friday will be Eagles second-rower Greg Peterson who has been named on the bench for the Scottish side who host Italian city-side Benetton Treviso. Canadian, DTH van der Merwe, meanwhile will start for the Scarlets against Zebre who have named former Puma Guillermo Roan on the bench.

U.S. outside back Blaine Scully will start on the right wing for the Cardiff Blues who travel west to face the Ospreys’ at Swansea’s Liberty Stadium on Saturday. Involved for the home side will be Hanno Dirksen who has been named at inside center.

Dirksen is a junior Eagle who once played at senior level for the USA in a non-capped match against Munster. He remains uncapped but turned down selection for the Eagles at Rugby World Cup 2011 in hope of being capped by Wales at some point in time.

The Irish-derby between Munster and Connacht on Saturday will feature a Puma and an Eagle. Lucas González Amorosino will start on the left wing for the home side while AJ MacGinty will be looking to cause an upset at Thomond Park.
