Final Tournament of 2015 in Ecuador

The year 2015 has been a record breaking year for rugby in the Americas as player numbers and audiences continue to grow. With great expectations for 2016 and beyond more places are to be added to the global rugby map with Ecuador being a future World Rugby member.

Yet to obtain World Rugby membership status Ecuador is absent from the World Rankings, a system including 18 unions from the Americas of which Barbados occupies the bottom spot at present. Membership, though, is just a matter of time for a country which is makes strides both on and off the field.

To close the year the traditional Rugby Sevens Ciudad de Quito will be played on December 05 at the Hacienda la Querencia. Present at the event will be every rugby club from the country and the 2015 national champion will be crowned.
