MacGinty to Start for Connacht in Siberia

Irish Pro 12 side Connecht opens up their European Challenge Cup campaign in Siberia as they take on Enisei-STM in a historic match in Russia. Enisei-STM is the first Russian side to ever qualify for the Challenge Cup. Connacht touched down in Siberia to frigid below zero temperatures and expect more of the same come kickoff.

USA Eagle flyhalf AJ MacGinty has been given the starting role at flyhalf for Connacht. MacGinty, who starred for the USA, joined the club after the Rugby World Cup.

Connacht is off to an excellent start this season and currently sit atop the Pro 12 table with a 6-1 record. They head to Russia as heavy favorites although the side has run through a patch of injuries.

The two teams kickoff tomorrow in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia at Enisei-STM Stadium.
