Colombia Overpower Ecuador in South American B Championship

Los Tucanes of Colombia started their South American B Championship campaign in impressive fashion by defeating southern neighbors Ecuador 77-13 this afternoon in Lima, Peru.

The fixture was the opening match of this year’s South American B Championship. Also competing are the host nation and Venezuela. Colombia will face both in remaining matches and will do so expecting to come out on top to confirm themselves as the top South American B team.

Both Colombia and Ecuador will play their second round matches on Wednesday. As losers of the opening fixture Los Piqueros await the winning team of Peru vs Venezuela while Colombia will face the loser.

The Four-Nations tournament will come to a close on Saturday with the Bronze Final and Final.
