Uruguay XV take on San Juan in Montevideo

Uruguay’s A side, the Uruguay XV will play host to Argentine province San Juan on Saturday in a second round match in the Campeonato Argentino de Mayores. Following the completion of the Valentín Martínez fixtures the Guzmán Barreiro coached side will play at Carrasco Polo at 5pm.

Playing in the second division of the Argentina National Provincial Championship, Uruguay is seeking to grow the player base to have a larger and superior pool of players to select from for international duty in 2016 and beyond.

The Uruguay XV debuted well last Saturday, defeating Lagos del Sur 35-12 in Bariloche. Santiago Martinez, José Serrato, Leandro Segredo and Facundo Gattas all scored tries in what was a strong opening performance.
