Palamo to make London Welsh debut

US Eagles World Cup centre Thretton Palamo will make his debut for London Irish in the Greene King IPA Championship tilt against Ealing Trailfinders on Saturday. The powerhouse midfielder is on a season-long loan from Aviva Premiership club Saracens after seeing limited time last season. Palamo will wear the no12 jersey as Welsh look to climb up the middle of the table. The Old Deer Park side currently sit 8th on the table after eight weeks, but are only six points behind 3rd place Doncaster.

Canadian back row Richard Thorpe is not in the lineup and has yet not yet returned to the playing roster following the World Cup. Outspoken Samoan international Daniel Leo lines up on the blindside, while Tongan prop Eddie Aholelei is among the reserves. Former USA u20 scrumhalf Tom Bliss is himself on a season-long loan to Ealing from Wasps, but is not in the match-day lineup.

Welsh were relegated from the Premiership at the end of last season and the majority of their side have top flight experience, including former England international Olly Barkley, found this week on the bench.
