World Rugby’s announcement of the Rugby World Cup 2015 Dream Team saw Pumas props Marcos Ayerza and Ramiro Herrera named as the best players in their positions in the tournament. The composite team would be coached by Australian Michael Cheika who won the Coach of the Year award.
Joining Ayerza and Herrera in the front-row is Australian captain Stephen Moore who was named as the best hooker. He was one of three Wallabies included, the others being center Matt Giteau and back-rower David Pocock.
It was the World Cup winning New Zealand, though, who dominated the team with World Rugby player of the Year Dan Carter named at fly half, Breakout star Nehe Milner-Skudder was named on the right wing, Try of the Year scorer Julian Savea on the right wing andConrad Smith at outside center.
No All Blacks made the forwards though. Joining Argentina and Australia in being represented upfront were Fiji, Georgia and South Africa. Both Japan and Scotland had a player named in the back line.
