Ayerza out of Bronze Final

On the eve of the Bronze Final match in London Argentina have been hit by a further injury set-back. Veteran loosehead prop Marcos Ayerza has been ruled out of the fixture against South Africa with Juan Figallo elevated from the bench to replace him.

Like captain Agustín Creevy, Ayerza is out with a hamstring injury. Ayerza suffered a grade 1 tear at the team’s final training session ruling him out of facing South Africa. Also out injured are Juan Martín Hernández, Juan Imhoff and Joaquín Tuculet.

With Figallo now starting and Lucas Noguera Paz acting as replacement hooker for Julián Montoya Daniel Hourcade has called-up Santiago García Botta who is now travelling to England to act as Figallo’s replacement. García Botta will arrive on the day of the game and will only play if absolutely required.
