Former Puma Francisco Goméz Kodela will start at tighthead prop for Bordeaux-Begles in the team’s home fixture against Toulouse on Saturday. Aged 30 Goméz Kodela has been capped 11 times Argentina but is yet to play for his country under Daniel Hourcade.
His test debut came in 2008 against Uruguay while his most recent appearance was in June 2013 in San Juan against Georgia. He is now into his second season with Bordeaux whom he joined from former Top 14 side Biarritz which Goméz Kodela called from from 2011-2014.
A win for Bordeaux could see the 7th placed side rising as high as 4th. Should Toulouse win the club could improve on its current standing of 3rd.
