Just two days out of facing the world’s number one in a Rugby World Cup Quarter Final the players from the lower ranked nation have staged a revolt against their coach, Phillipe Saint-André which has been reported to have left France without a coach and the players thereby coaching themselves.
Reports emerging this evening provide firm evidence of significant unrest in the French camp. Less than 48 hours before facing New Zealand France’s Head Coach, Phillipe Saint-André is said to have been dismissed. It leaves the players preparing for the All Blacks without a coach and thereby being in total control of their game plan.
Saint-André’s game plan has long been under fire from followers of Les Bleus, both from Frenchmen and foreign on-lookers. The classic approach of strong, well-built forwards with flair from the backs has been lacking with Saint-André preferring a restricted game which utilizes large ball-carriers in the majority of positions and lacks improvisation.
Fed up with the lack of positive outcomes and in facing elimination the French players have, tonight, described Saint-André as lacking charisma and not being a leader of men.
With names such as Brice Dulin, Alexandre Dumoulin, Thierry Dusautoir, Wesley Fofana, Noa Nakaitaci, Louis Picamoles and Morgan Parra there is more than enough talent to unleash the famous French flair on the All Blacks.
