Los Pumas Evaluate the Injured

Four members of Daniel Hourcade’s 31-man roster are undergoing evaluations to determine their availability for Los Pumas’ second Rugby World Cup fixture. The South Americans will take-on Georgia in Gloucester on Friday.

Confirmed out of the match is back-rower Leonardo Senatore. The 31 year old was replaced by specialist hooker Julián Montoya in the 66th minute with an injury to his left leg. Having suffered muscle contusion Senatore will be unable to face Georgia.

Montoya came on due to the high injury count with Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe playing the full match due to Pablo Matera having been replaced by Juan Manuel Leguizamón in the 57th minute. Fernández Lobbe remained on playing with a dislocated finger. The injury involved no bone damage suggesting he wil be fine for Friday’s match.

The first Puma to be replaced was the try scoring Guido Petti who was hit in the head by All Black Dan Carter upon touching down. The incident ended his match with Mariano Galarza replacing him immediately. Petti suffered whiplash and is to be tested during the week.

Finally, captain Agustín Creevy ended the match complaining of having a sore back. This saw him making way for loosehead prop Lucas Noguera Paz eleven minutes from full time. He is expected to be fine for Georgia.
