Pumas Legend says Argentina can win World Cup

Arguably Argentina’s greatest rugby player of all time, Hugo Porta thinks that Los Pumas are in condition to make history at the World Cup in England. The player who forever changed Argentine rugby for the better believes that Daniel Hourcade’s team has what it takes to win the tournament.

In an interview with Revista Noticias, the former Pumas captain demonstrated his confidence in the current team which could go far in the tournament. ”Los Pumas are going to be World Champions. I have no doubt of this and I feel that they are capable of getting to that final day”.

”They have come along very well and I believe that this last victory against the Springboks will help the psychological and emotional areas of the team to believe in what they are doing and in the manner in which they are preparing”.

“I see a competitive team, that is convinced in the idea of what they want to develop and I know that we are going to be very well represented”.

Los Pumas will begin their Rugby World Cup campaign this Sunday, taking on the 2011 world champions and number one ranked team New Zealand at London’s Wembley Stadium.
