Quito and Guayaquil clubs Contest Ecuador Final

The Grand Final of Ecuadorian rugby will be contested this coming Satuday, August 29 and will feature clubs from the country’s two largest cities – Guayaquil and the national capital Quito.

The final be take place at the Hacienda La Querencia with the two-time running champions Jibaros Quito Rugby Club hosting Tiburones ADN Rugby Club from Guayaquil. Tiburones ADN Rugby Club reached the final after winning a thriller 33-31 in a match in which both teams crossed for five tries.

Kick-off time for the final is scheduled for 12pm local time with the winner being crowned the national champion of Ecuador.

For many they are playing for national honors with Ecuador a Sudamérica B member and part of the continental championship in this category. The four team tournament will take place in Lima, Peru in November with the host nation being joined by Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela.
