Dax confirm the arrival of two Argentine Players

US Dax has been confirmed as remaining in the Pro d2 for the 2015-2016 season. This is the case despite the club having been relegated due to finishing 15th out of 16 in last season’s Pro d2. The promoted Lille has been rejected from competing in the Pro d2 thereby enabling Dax to remain in the second division.

Thus confirmed in the Pro d2 Dax is now building an improved player roster and today announced the arrival of six new players, two of whom are from Argentina.  Joining are to be former Puma Ignacio Mieres who previously played in France for Stade Français and Perpignan before moving to England.

Also now a Dax player is uncapped Argentine second-rower Martín Chiappesoni Restano who arrives from Atlético del Rosario. Alexandre Derrien, Joseph Tuineau, Kevin Firmin and Aisea Koliavu complete the new arrivals. Additional signing are expected with the club in search of props.

Dax will begin the Pro d2 season against one of the title contenders, Perpignan in an way fixture on Saturday September 19, the same day in which France begins its World Cup campaign against Italy in London. Before then the club will play in warm-up fixtures with the first of which to be played next Friday, August 28 at the Stade Maurice Moyau against Libourne.
