Racing 92 sign Argentine prop Nicolás Mirande

French Top 14 side Racing 92 have completed the signing of Argentine prop Nicolás Mirande who joins as a medical joker. The Tucumán front-rower joins as cover for Eddy Ben Arous who is to be representing France at the Rugby World Cup and will be unavailable until the completion of the tournament.

The Top 14 season gets underway on August 21 with Racing 92 playing away against 2014 champions Toulon. Missing will be players on international duty including many more than just Arous. Among those unavailable will be Pumas Juan Imhoff and Manuel Carizza.

Mirande has previously been involved in the PladAR system. He was a member of the Argentina XV squad that competed in the World Rugby Nations Cup in Romania this past June.
