Hourcade names 31-man Squad for Final Home Test

Los Pumas Head Coach Daniel Hourcade has confirmed a 31-man squad for Argentina’s final assignment before confirming the World Cup squad, a test match against South Africa in Buenos Aires next Saturday.

Included are the 26 players who traveled to Durban for the historic win. Joining them are Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe, Nicolás Sánchez, Santiago Cordero, Javier Ortega Desio, Matías Moroni and Facundo Isa. Center Jerónimo de la Fuente, however, is not involved due to having suffered a minor injury.

Los Pumas’ Medic Dr. Guillermo Botto confirmed that three players are carrying injuries from the Durban test match.

  • Tomás Lavanini: muscular fatigue in left hamstring
