Colombian u18s selected for Venezuela

San Cristóbal, Venezuela is to play host to cross border series between CONSUR B members Venezuela and Colombia. On July 31 and August 01 the under 18 teams from the neighboring South American countries will continue the rivalry of two emerging rugby nations from the region.

Included among the 37-man squad are players from throughout Colombia though the headquarters of Colombian rugby, Antioquia is the highest represented with nineteen players. Colombia’s squad will depart from the city of Cúcuta on July 30 at 8am and require parental permission to leave the country.

At senior level Colombia is ranked 47th in the world while Venezuela is 61st. Colombia hosted and won the 2014 CONSUR B tournament which included Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.
