Los Teros have unveiled their jersey for the 2015 Rugby World Cup. The shirt, made by Kooga, features the classic blue jersey with black trim, a design very familiar to Uruguayan fans. It is a welcome throwback to the uniform worn by the last Uruguayan team to play at the World Cup, with only the new URU logo a significant departure from the jersey worn in 2003.
Kooga is a London-based sports apparel brand that specializes in rugby. They also provide kit for professional clubs Scarlets, Worcester Warriors, Leicester Tigers, and the international side from Mexico. Uruguay will be the only team to wear Kooga gear at the World Cup, though a number of sides are under the BLK brand, previously owned by Kooga until separating in 2011.
Uruguay qualified for the tournament by defeating Russia in the repechage last October. They will be in Pool A at the World Cup, along with Australia, Fiji, Wales, and tournament hosts England.
