Pablo Matera believes Argentina can reach World Cup Semi Finals

Argentine back-rower Pablo Matera was recently featured by World Rugby. The 21 year old offered his thoughts into Argentina’s chances at the upcoming Rugby World Cup in addition to his personal experiences leading to his rise and inclusion at a very young age in the senior team.

In his first two seasons of international rugby Matera earned 14 caps of which 13 were in the starting lineup. He combined with Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe and Juan Manuel Leguizamón to form the first choice back-row in the 2013 and 2014 Rugby Championships but in suffering a serious shoulder injury against South Africa last year he under went season sending surgery.

With Rugby World Cup 2015 now just over two months away Matera is well placed to be involved. He is a part of the Rugby Championship squad but will play no part in the opening fixture this Friday against New Zealand in Christchurch.
