El Salvador’s leading women’s Rugby Sevens teams will come together this Saturday, July 04 for the third round of the 2015 National Rugby Sevens Championship. Involved will be Cuscatlan Rugby Club, Maquilishuat Rugby Club, San Salvador Rugby Club and Santa Tecla Rugby Club.
San Salvador Rugby Club enter as the tournament leaders with 18 competition points, six more than the second placed Maquilishuat Rugby Club. Cuscatlan Rugby Club is in third on six points while Santa Tecla sits bottom on two points.
Despite being located in Central America El Salvador, like it’s neighbors, is a member of CONSUR not NACRA. Unions in the region are building towards obtaining World Rugby membership.
