Namibian Head Coach Resigns

Less than three months out from the Rugby World Cup Namibia has a new Head Coach. The resigning Danie Vermeulen has been replaced by the Namibian Rugby Union’s Technical Advisor, Phil Davies.

Vermeulen had been in charge since 2012. His departure leaves the lowest ranked participant in a grave state ahead of facing New Zealand, Georgia, Tonga and Argentina at the World Cup.

Playing in a fifth Rugby World Cup Namibia is in search for a first ever win. The Africans now has jsut two weeks to prepare for a home series against Russia. The European nation was eliminated by Uruguay in the Final Place Play-Off and is interested in proving it should be in the World Cup.
