Los Teros Change Seven for Emerging Italy

Los Teros will face Emerging Italy on Sunday in the final round of the World Rugby Tbilisi Cup in Georgia. The competition serves as vital preparation for squad members of the four competing countries ahead of this year’s Rugby World Cup.

Uruguayan Head Coach Pablo Lemoine has made seven changes for the mitch from that which faced Emerging Ireland on Wednesday. Returning to captain the side is Santiago Vilaseca who will do so in the second-row. Other changes see places in the team for all of Alejo Corral, Nicolás Klappenbach, Jorge Zerbino, Matías Beer, Albeto Román and Gastón Mieres.

Uruguay’s opposition have named a team lacking amateur players. Emerging Italy’s team consists of players involved in the Italian domestic league in addition to players from the Guinness Pro 12 and lower divisions in England and France.

Despite there still being Sunady’s matches yet to be played Emerging Ireland has already been confirmed as the Tbilisi Cup Champion. The Irish defeated the Italians 25-0 and Uruguay by 33-7. Italy, in contrast, defeated Georgia 26-10 while the home side defeated Uruguay 19-10.
