Pumas forced into late change against French Barbarians

Matías Orlando will not face the French Barbarians this weekend. The Tucumán winger has been forced out with Román Miralles taking his place on the wing. In moving from fullback Miralles’ spot wil be taken by regular starting fullback Joaquín Tuculet.

Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino had been bracketed for possible selection but is being rested after having become a father today. As such former Puma Belisario Agulla has earned a recall to be in a Daniel Hourcade squad for the first time since he replaced Santiago Phelan.

Following the captain’s run earlier this afternoon Tomás Cubelli commented that “we have a lot to gain from his match. The opposition is much tougher than those we have previously faced, bu we want to be tested against a good side and this is a great opportunity.”

“In this match we need to take extreme responsibility and be conscious of that if we want to be a part of the squad that will go to the World Cup we must live up to the occasion.”

The match is to be uncapped and as such World Rugby Rankings will not be on the line. Rosario’s Old Resian club will play host to the fixture which is scheduled to begin at 3:30pm Argentine time.
