Experimental Argentina XV named to face Namibia

Felipe Contepomi and Ricardo Le Fort have confirmed the line-up for Friday’s non-capped international against Rugby World Cup 2015 opponents Namibia. An Argentine team missing professional players based abroad and also those to have signed Super Rugby contracts for 2016 and beyond are not to feature in the match.

The Argentine XV is to be captained by Gonzalo Bertranou, a player to have emerged in 2014 as a potential future test scrumhalf. He is to form a halves combination with Juan León Novillo who debuted for Argentina in the recent CONSUR Cup.

Tomás Carrió has been given an opportunity to play at fullback while the World Cup hopeful Joaquín Paz will start in the mid-field. Roberto Tejerizo , who recently, started for the Barbarians in a winning effort over Ireland will start at loosehead prop.
