Los Pumas will play in Rosario and La Plata

The Unión Argentina de Rugby has confirmed that the upcoming non-capped internationals between Argentina and the French Barbarians will be played in the cities of Rosario and La Plata. The fixtures are to serve as preparation for the Rugby Championship as there will be no incoming tours this month due to 2015 being a Rugby World Cup year.

The first match will take place on Saturday June 20 at the Old Resian Club in Rosario, Santa Fé province with kick-off sceduled for 3:30pm. Australian Angus Gardener is the designated referee for the match to be played for the ‘Copa ICBC’.

Six days later on Friday June 26 the teams will meet again, this time at the La Plata Rugby Club in Buenos Aires province. New Zealander Benjamin O’Keefe will referee the match which is to be contested over the ‘Copa Personal’. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:30pm.

Shortly after the match in La Plata Los Pumas will depart for Sydney, Australia to prepare for the Rugby Championship which will start on July 17.
