Puma named in French Barbarians Squad to face Argentina

The French Barbarians have sprung a surprise by naming Benjamín Urdapilleta in the team’s twenty-seven man squad to tour South America. The ten time capped Puma is joined by former French international scrumhalf Jean-Marc Doussain as one of two fly potential halves in the squad.

Aside from Urdapilleta there is also a place for South Africans Gerhard Vosloo and Heini Adams. The remaining players selected are fringe players left out of Phillipe Saint-Andre’s World Cup training regime. The opening match between Argentina and the French Barbarians will be played on June 20. The team will be captained by Stade Français scrumhalf Jérôme Fillol.
