Flagg signs for Moseley

Aaron Flagg is the latest Canadian to sign a pro contract in the UK. The 6’5″ second row will join Moseley next season in the RFU second division, also known as the Greene King IPA Championship. Moseley narrowly escaped relegation last season, finishing 11th, and will be hoping the hard-hitting Flagg has a similar impact as one of Canada’s most successful exports, Al Charron, who spent several seasons with the club in the mid ’90s.

A regular in Canada ‘A’ squads in recent years, the Abbotsford native has taken part in each of the last three ARC tournaments, and was a standout in the recent Pacific Challenge in Fiji. He won his only senior cap to date against Japan in June of 2013.

Flagg will find some familiar competition among his opposition next season, with both Tyler Hotson and Jon Phelan stationed at Doncaster, and Brett Beukeboom heading to Cornish Pirates, who also have Aaron Carpenter and Matt Evans on their books.
