Chile bested Uruguay for the first time with a memorable 30-15 home victory earlier this month. The result sent shock waves to players and officials involved in Uruguayan rugby as Los Teros are just over four months away from playing in the World Cup in England and Wales. The match was Chile’s 12th win overall out of 47 tests against Los Teros. When the teams previously met in 2014 Uruguay ran out 55-13 winners. Uruguay is now preparing to face Argentina in Montevideo this coming weekend. The match is part of the CONSUR Cup. The winner will be the official South American Champion for 2015.
