NOLA add All-American Nick Feakes

Nick Feakes has put pen to paper with the New Orleans Gold. The Lindenwood flyhalf will join the team for the 2019 Major League Rugby season, the latest in a string of signings from the club that missed out on the playoffs in the inaugural 2018 campaign.

An All-American in both Sevens and the XV-a-side game, Feakes hails from Canberra, Australia, but now qualifies for the USA on residency after spending four seasons with the Lions. The 23-year-old is tall for a flyhalf at 6’2″ (1.88m) and deceivingly quick. He can also cover fullback and provides a useful left-footed kicking option.

Over the past couple weeks NOLA have been the most active MLR franchise in recruiting. Three international forwards have been added in Kane Thompson, Kyle Baillie, and Ignacio Dotti, with Southern Hemisphere influence coming to the backline from Scott Gale, Con Foley, and Tristan Blewett.
