Brazil Claim Gold in Cochabamba

At the 2018 Juegos Suramericanos in Cochabamba, Bolivia Brazil claimed Gold. Las Yaras completed an unbeaten tournament today, claiming 65-0 and 34-05 wins over Bolivia and Argentina respectively.

The results saw Brazil not only claiming a Gold Medal but also qualifying for the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

Finishing next best was Argentina. Their day ended with defeat to Brazil but earlier on they downed Colombia 38-0, a result which would also benefit Paraguay. It means that with a 58-0 win over Bolivia and a 17-12 victory against Peru that Paraguay would claim Bronze.

Failing to fire today was Uruguay. Both matches were big losses which saw the Uruguayans finishing 6th in Cochabamba. They fell 24-05 against Peru and 17-12 against Paraguay in their two Tuesday matches.
