Damián Schneider Named on Panel for 2017-2018 World Series

Argentine referee Damián Schneider has been named on the panel by World Rugby for the 2017-18 HSBC Sevens Series. Schneider is to be the only Argentine official for next season.

Schneider will officiate in seven of the ten legs, missing the tournaments in Sydney, Hamilton, and Singapore. It is to be his second opportunity to referee the on the world circuit.

Considered as being Argentina’s number two official, behind Federico Anselmi, Schneider will join officials from Australia, England, Fiji, France, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Portugal, Scotland, South Africa, the USA and Wales.

The 2017-2018 circuit will begin in Dubai. The two-day tournament will be played on December 1-2. The final round will be in London on June 2-3.

The season, though, is to have a special flavor due to the Rugby World Cup Sevens which are to take place in San Francisco.
