Denver PRO Side Adds Orth to Roster

As the inaugural season of PRO Rugby North America inches ever so closer, the playing rosters for each of the five teams in the competition get closer to being finalized. With just a little over two weeks left until the competition kicks off, new player signings are coming on a daily basis. This time around it is Denver who makes a splash by adding another capped Eagle to their roster.

USA Eagle second rower Brodie Orth has been confirmed as signing with Denver for the 2016 season. Standing at 6’6″ Orth is a tall and powerful lock that has been on the Eagle radar for some time, but didn’t make his debut for the USA until the ARC this year. His rugby development has taken him all around the USA and to New Zealand before returning to the Kansas City Blues. With Cam Dolan and Greg Peterson unavailable for most of the ARC, Orth was able to step in and played well for the Eagles showing good physicality.

While all five team rosters are shaping up nicely, Denver might be sitting on one of the better overall rosters in all of PRO. Denver adds Orth and Moore to an already stout forward group that includes former Springbok Pedrie Wannenburg as well as Eagles Ben Landry, Zach Fenoglio, Hanco Germishuys, Chris Baumann, and Ben Tarr. Denver boasts one of the most experienced packs in the entire competition along with some key backs which should make for a well rounded squad.
